My Floor Needs To Be Washed, But....

HAPPY SUMMER TO YOU ALL! OURS HAS BEEN FULL AND SUCH FUN, LOTS OF PICTURES AND MEMORIES, OF EVERY DAY STUFF AND SPECIAL STUFF WE DO ON THE WEEKEND WITH DADDY! I DIDN'T GET TO CLEAN MY FLOOR YESTERDAY OR THIS MORNING, BUT...WE DID MAKE HOMEADE GINGERSNAPS AND PUT SOME ASIDE FOR DADDY AND HIS FRIENDS AT WORK, WE DID CATCH FROGS THAT COME INTO OUR YARD FROM THE POND UP THE STREET. WE PUT THEM IN THE WATER TABLE OUTSIDE AND WATCH THEM SWIM. YESTERDAY WE HAD TWO AND MY DAUGHTER NAMED ONE CHARLIE AND I NAMED ONE HENRY. SHE GIGGLED AND HELD THEM AND SAID, "MOM, THEY SURE ARE JUMPY AND HOPPY! LIKE HAPPY, MOM?" AND LAUGHED BECAUSE SHE MADE A LITTLE JOKE! THEY RAN THRU THE SPRINKLER AND SWUNG TOGETHER ON THE SWINGS TRYING TO TOUCH THE CLOUDS WITH THEIR TOES. THEY HAD MESSY ICE CREAM CONES THAT GOT EVERYWHERE, AND SHARED WITH EACH OTHER. WE DID DANCE TO GOSPEL MUSIC AND SING. WE DID DO FINGERPAINTING AND MADE HAND AND FOOTPRINTS AND MADE A MESS! WE DID READ SO MANY BOOKS WE ALL FELT TIRED AFTER! ALL THIS IN YESTERDAY AFTER MY ERRANDS IN THE MORNING WERE DONE, AND THIS MORNING BEFORE THEY HAD SNACK AND ARE NOW NAPPING. SO WHILE MY FLOORS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN WASHED, I WILL REMEMBER THRU THE PICTURES WE TOOK, AND THE ART THEY CREATED, THE SIMPLICITY AND PURE INNOCENT BLISS OF JUST BEING A CHILD. WHAT THEY WILL REMEMBER IS UP TO ME, AND EVERY DAY IS FULL OF BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES YET TO BE MADE, I CAN ACCOMPLISH JUST BY BEING A STAY AT HOME MOMMY! 100 YEARS FROM NOW IT WILL NOT MATTER......

Remember Our Own, So Far From Home

Drip, Drop, rain pitter patters outside...and inside you hear pitter patter of feet! My lil angels are waiting for breakfast. We clutch each other's hands at the breakfast table every morning to pray a blessing of thanksgiving and safety over Daddy at work and peace for a happy day yet to come. We are always so excited when my husband calls to say he's coming home! The kids run to him and kiss him, and we are all laughing and talking together. How blessed to have him come home safe every night. God help me to never take that for granted. It makes your troubles seem so small when you think about our men and women overseas sacrificing the feel of their little one's arms around them calling their name. They are heros. Never forget to pray and support them.

JUST SOME THINGS LAID ON MY HEART

HEY EVERYONE! HOW HAS SUMMER BEEN FOR YOU ALL? WE HAVE BEEN BUSY, BUT REALLY JUST HAVING A BLAST ENJOYING FRESH AIR AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF FREE FUN THINGS TO DO. I HAVE ENJOYED RECONNECTING WITH OLD FRIENDS AND ARE BEING BLESSED BY MEETING NEW ONES AS I REACH OUT MORE AND MY KIDS GO INTO THE NEXT CLASSES AT CHURCH. BITERSWEET THAT IS. I HAVE MET MORE CHRISTIAN HOMESCHOOL MOMS THRU CAFEMOM TOO, I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE WOMEN OF FAITH ENCOURAGING ME AND SHARING THEMSELVES SO I MAY PRAY FOR THEM TOO. IT'S WONDERFUL TO HAVE RESOURCES AT YOUR FINGERTIPS, OTHER MOMMIES WHO STAY HOME WITH THEIR CHILDREN AND KEEP THEM SAFE AND TEACH THEM FROM THEIR HEART BECAUSE THEY DESIRE TO GIVE THEM GOD'S BEST FOR THEIR LIFE SACRIFICING THEIR OWN DAILY. I'VE GOT LOTS OF QUESTIONS BUT I WILL BE SURROUNDED BY LOVING PEOPLE WHO WILL GUIDE ME ON THIS JOURNEY WHEN THE TIME COMES AND I HOPE TO BE ABLE TO IN TURN HELP OTHERS AS WELL. I FEEL SO PASSIONATELY ABOUT HOMESCHOOLING, BUT THIS IS JUST A PERSONAL OPINION FOR MYSELF, AND OUR FAMILY. THOSE WHO SEND THEIR CHILDREN TO SCHOOL CAN PRAY FOR THEIR PRESENCE THERE TO COUNT, TO BE A LIGHT. GOD PLACES US WHERE WE ARE FOR A REASON, A PURPOSE, I CHALLENGE YOU TO FIND OUT YOUR PURPOSE, WHY YOU ARE WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW, WHY YOU WERE CREATED. WERE YOU CREATED TO DO SOMETHING WONDERFUL FOR HIM? WHO KNOWS, BUT WITH A WILLING HEART AND SUBMISSIVE SPITIRT, HE WILL REVEAL THINGS TO YOU AND USE YOU AND YOU WILL BE FILLED WITH INDESCRIBABLE JOY, AND WITH GOD ON YOUR SIDE, WHO KNOWS WHAT PLANS HE MAY HAVE IN STORE IN THIS LIFE, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS, HE WILL BE THERE TO HELP YOU ACCOMPLISH THAT TASK, BIG OR SMALL. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A HEART FOR MISSIONS, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? I ALSO HAVE A HEART FOR THE PEOPLE RIGHT HERE! I ALWAYS WONDER HOW HE IS USING ME AND WHO IS WATCHING. COULD THE PEOPLE I SEE AT THE POST OFFICE USE SOME ENCOURAGEMNT? COULD THE WOMAN AT THE BANK I ALWAYS DEAL WITH NEED PEACE? WHAT ABOUT AT DUNKIN OR STARBUCKS? I KNOW PEOPLE BY NAME AT ALL THESE PLACES, BUT MAYBE THAT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING. THE POINT IS ABOUT MAKING A DIFFERANCE WHERE YOU ARE AND NOT LETTING AN OPORTUNITY GO BY. USING INSTANCES AND SITUATIONS TO REACT A CERTAIN WAY OR WITNESS TO SOMEONE. BE A MISSIONARY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE!!!! LET GOD USE YOU WHERE YOU ARE! LET YOUR KIDS SEE YOU LOVING OTHERS NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE! DOP OFF CLOTHES AT SALVATION ARMY OR BAKE SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS SICK, MAKE DINNER FOR SOMEONE WHO JUST HAD A BABY, OFFER YOUR TIME TO HELP CLEAN A HOUSE FOR SOMEONE WHO FEELS OVERWHELMED AND IS TOO BUSY TO BE ORGANIZED. FIND OUT WHAT YOUR TALENTS ARE AND USE THEM FOR HIM AND FOR OTHERS, IT'S AN AMAZING FEELING AND YOU WILL BE SO BLESSED! MY HUSBAND HAS ALWAYS BEEN A LIGHT WHEREVER HGE HAS GONE, EVERYONE KNOWS HE IS DIFFERANT BECAUSE HE UPLIFTS HIS FAMILY AND DOES NOT SWEAR, HE IS HONEST AND RELIABLE AND HARDWORKING. HE IS A MAN OF VIRTUES AND STREGNTH AND HUMBLE KIND PAIENT CHARACTER. I ADMIRE HIM SO :) HE HAS BEEN ABLE TO SAY THINGS HERE AND THERE THAT GET PEOLPE THINGING ABOUT GOD AND LAY THE FOUNDATION AND ANSWER QUESTIONS.DON'T BE AFRAID OR EMBARRASSED, IT WILL COME MORE NATURAL AS YOU THINK OF CHRIST AS YOUR FRIEND AND CONSTANT. DON'T FORGET TO TAKE THE TIME FOR PRAYER TOO EVERY DAY, IT SOOTHES THE SOUL AND BRINGS YOU SO CLOSE TO HIS HEART. HIS BLESSINGS FOR YOU ARE THERE WAITING, DON'T HOLD BACK BECAUSE HE WON'T EITHER! WHAT A SWEET SAVIOR!

MY DAUGHTER LOVES TO PRAY WITH DADDY EVERY NIGHT, IT'S SO PRECIOUS AND I FEEL SUCH A STRONG CALL TO MINISTER TO HER HEART AND GIVE HER A PASSION AND DESIRE FOR HER LOVING MASTER AND CREATOR. I PURCHASED RAISING BOYS BY JAMES DOBSON, AND AM LOOKING FORWARD TO RAISING A TRUTH SEEKER AND MAN OF GOD WITH MY HUSBAND'S HELP. I WOULD LOVE SUGGESSIONS ON A CHRISTIAN BOOK FOR RAISING GIRLS TOO...

Musings of a 3 year old

Every night after we put our daughter and son down I go back in her room for about 15 minutes and have what she calls "our chatting time". I treasure this because it's so much fun to just talk and listen to how funny she is, she really comes out with some stuff! She always tells me every day at some point "you're the best mommy in the whole world" and sometimes she will say "you are my best friend". It truly makes it all worth it when you look over the day at the things you did and said and lessons you sometimes had to teach in tough love. It just makes you think about what they are hearing and learning when you don't even know it. It is a Huge responsibility to help enfashion their little characters and help them become their own people. She told me Jesus lives in her heart and God lives in heaven. Then she says " Well, Jesus flew around and created everything,( expression serious and hands moving) so all the things you see, yeah, he made them (waving hand) . (pauses) then, he had to eat, then he rested. So that's it." Well, ok, so there you have it, in case you wondered! LOL

10 Commitments for Parents

JUST THOUGHT I'D SHARE...LIKED THE WAY THIS WAS WRITTEN...

I will always love and respect my child for who he is and not who I want him to be.
I will give my child space - to grow, to dream, to succeed, and even, sometimes, to fail.
I will create a loving home environment and show my child that she is loved, whenever and however and however I can.
I will, when discipline is necessary, let my child know that I disapprove of what he does, not who he is.
I will set limits for my child and help her find security in the knowledge of what is expected of her.
I will make time for my child and cherish our moments together, realizing how important - and fleeting - they are.
I will not burden my child with emotions and problems he is not equipped to deal with, remembering that I am the parent and he is the child.
I will encourage my child to experience the world and all its possibilities, guiding her in its ways and taking pains to leave her careful, but not fearful.
I will take care of myself physically and emotionally so that I can be there for my child when he needs me.
I will try to be the kind of person I want my child to grow up to be - loving, fair-minded, moral, giving and hopeful.

Here I am...Checkin In

It's been a tough road for me lately, medically speaking, but I am on the road to recovery all around and getting better and back to myself again eventually. God is so great! Thanks to my mom for taking the kids when I cannot take them to differant dr apts. She's an angel :)Tomorrow I will take my kids out for ice cream and either the playground or beach, I'm looking forward to having my Love home for 3 days too! The kids and I miss him so when he's not here and he calls at breaks and texts, but we are happier for the family moments we make time for when we get it! Life is so sweet when you have a storybook marriage and Christ is the Center of your home! Our life and family are perfect (to us!) and it's our life and God is in control( whew! glad for that!) Missed U all! Thanks for the Emails saying hello! I have to catch up on here and Myspace and CafeMom and Ebay and all my emails. That could take awhile! Thanks for stayin tuned!
